So! For anyone who is usually involved in petz shows, the way things are done at PSOS is a lot different.
In this board there will be many shows held. At the moment, only staff can create shows. This may or may not change in the future.
First things first, all pets (cats and dogs, adult or kitten/puppy) must have all age appropriate vaccinations in order to compete!
So if you haven't yet, please [register your pets] and then [make an appointment]!
There is an entrance fee for signing your pet up and entering him or her into a show. When you submit your entry, you are agreeing that you are going to pay that amount (whatever the entrance fee) and it will be deducted from your money. If you do not have the entrance fee at the time of entering, your entry will be automatically disqualified.
Shows will normally just require a picture of your pet, however, the real winning has to do with their stats. If you are not familiar with the stat system, please read more [here]. So, for example's sake, say you are entering your dog into a show, it may be required to enter a picture of him or her posing, but what will really be the determining factor will be his or her stats. So if you were to enter a dog with a health stat of say 10 and a strength stat of 8, your dog would have a better chance at winning over a dog with lower stats in those categories. Again, just like with a lot of other things on this forum, a randomizer comes into play. So, your dog could have horrible stats and still win, however, the chances of that happening are extremely slim, as pets with higher stats get their names put multiple times into the randomizer. Dogs and cats with higher stats all around will be better examples of their kind (canine or feline) and of course have a better odd of winning.
Upon winning, you will get prize money. That money can be used for whatever you would like (ex. purchasing puppies/kittens from other members, purchasing items, bringing your pet to the vet, etc.).
For every win your pet gets, he or she will earn 5 points. 100 points makes a champion.
